MODIFY THE CLASSIC TS808 CIRCUIT WITHOUT A SOLDERING IRON
The most duplicated overdrive in history has one major flaw -- it’s not transparent, because of fixed treble AND bass filters. The solution? Give the user control over that high & low end roll off. That simple idea is behind The Scream, which also gives you 3 types of clipping and two internal controls for further tweakability, all while keeping true to the classic with its JRC4558D op amp & 1S1588 silicon clipping diodes.
DRIVE: Controls the gain/drive of The Scream.
TONE: Boosts/cuts frequencies above the threshold point set by the internal FREQ control.
LEVEL: Sets the output volume of The Scream.
FILTER: Controls the post-gain treble response.
FAT: Controls the pre-gain bass response and sets the overall gain range.
S - L - A: Transitions between the standard Symmetrical clipping, Asymmeterical for a sweeten tone, and dynamic 5mm Red LED clipping (L)
INTERNAL CONTROLS: The FREQ trimpot sets the cutoff frequency of the TONE control. The IMPED control sets the input impedance of the pedal, affecting how it interacts with a passive guitar's pickups and responds to the volume control.
