GM50 Cabinet Amplifier

The GM50 is a versatile, lightweight power amplifier module designed for musicians who need a quality, high powered mono-block amplifier solution .

Delivering 400 watts of Class AB power in a lightweight (2.4kgs) simple design that also features a surrounding mounting plate to enable the module to be fitted to various cabinet or pro audio solutions. The GM50 can be used to turn a favourite passive guitar cab or full range enclosure into an all in one active solution that can compete with high volume tube amps whilst still giving you enough clean headroom and plenty of spare power for even the most demanding of musical situations.

Simple connectivity, using the two wires from the rear of the unit mean that the GM50 will connect to your speakers without the need to select impedance and accepts loads of 4 ohms and above, even non standard ratings! The in built fan keeps things running nice and cool whilst the rugged design can withstand the high pressures found in cabinets without compromising components or leaking unwanted noise through the unit. Combi jack/XLR input commectors accept both standard ¼ inch cables and mic leads for added flexibility.

Perfect if you’re using a floor mounted or amp-top modeller and don’t want to carry a separate amp, guitarists can utilise the GM50 to power 1×12, 2×12 or even a 4×12 cab for a simple setup or go for more complex ones such as slave amping and wet/dry/wet systems.
You could even get your favourite cab builder to design you the perfect powered cab with the GM50 at it’s heart!

GT800FX Stereo Rack Amplifier

The GT800FX is a lightweight 1U format stereo rack mount power amplifier designed specifically for use by guitarists. Whether you're using modellers or just needing a traditional "slave" amplifier, the GT800FX gives you 2 channels of 400W class AB power. In bridged mode it delivers a huge 800W into 8 ohms.

Using premium quality components and high quality MosFets allows the GT800FX to give a sound that many users have compared to high end valve power amps whilst it's ability to
handle impedances of 4 ohms and over including mismatched levels gives you the widest choice when using your favourite cabs and speakers. Running a 2x12 cab with an 8 ohm and 16ohm speaker in mono or running a 4 ohm cab on one side and a 16ohm cab on the other in stereo mode is no problem for the GT800FX!

The amp also features extensive protection circuitry ensuring it is protected from loudspeaker short circuits and miswiring. The front panel has indicators for protection, bridged mode and signal lights showing the output signal strength.

All this power in a 3.7kg rugged, road worthy, high quality amp that delivers a flat response letting your modeller or preamp shape the sounds you need without further colouration from your poweramp. Dual speed fans ensure that the amp stays cool even under the most demanding of situations. Neutrik combi 1/4 inch/XLR inputs and combi 1/4inch/Speakon outputs give you maximum flexibilty in how you connect the GT800FX.

The Matrix GT800FX is a product born from the feedback of guitarists, for guitarists and is fast becoming the industry standard for lightweight solid state guitar amps.

GT1000FX 1U Stereo Rack Amplifier

The GT1000FX is a lightweight 1U format stereo rack mount power amplifier designed specifically for use by guitarists that builds on the Matrix heritage. The GT1000FX is designed with a full range of guitar products in mind, from modellers to valve pre-amps, pre-amp pedals, "slaving" traditional amplifiers and the newer mini-amps with line outputs.

Whilst still delivering the same flat response as the GT800FX, the GT1000FX has been modified to respond even more like a valve power amplifier, giving a "looser" feel and a more open sound that we genuinely believe to be the closest a solid state amp has come to valves!

We've not just improved the sound either but also managed to cram another 200 Watts under the hood whilst still keeping the weight at an unbelievable 3.7kg. That's 1000 watts in bridged mode at 8ohms and a mammoth 650W at 16 ohms!

Dual speed fans ensure that the amplifier stays cool with even all that power, under the most demanding conditions. Neutrik combi 1/4 inch/XLR inputs and combi 1/4inch/Speakon outputs give you maximum flexibilty in how you connect the GT1000FX. We've also added a dedicated output for bridged mode, so no special cables are necessary to deliver the full mono power of the amplifier into any impedance of 8 ohms or over. The GT1000FX still has the same ability to handle all impedances 4 ohms and over including mis-matched loads giving you the widest choice when using your favourite cabs and speakers. Running a 2x12 cab with an 8 ohm and 16 ohm speaker in mono or running a 4 ohm cab on one side and a 16 ohm cab on the other in stereo mode is no problem for the GT1000FX!

The amplifier features extensive protection circuitry ensuring it is protected from loudspeaker short circuits and miswiring as well as indicators for protection, bridged-mode and signal lights showing the output signal strength.

The Matrix GT1000FX takes the Matrix line of products to a whole new level, way beyond 11.

GT1000FX 2U Studio Rack Amplifier

The GT1000FX 2U is a lightweight, 2U format stereo rack mount power amplifier designed specifically for use by guitarists who need a power amplifier in the studio that can also handle the rigours of live and touring use. The GT1000FX is designed with larger 80mm fans which operate much more quietly than our 1U model, perfect for studio applications where the only thing you want recording is the sound of your instrument and not the amp!

Whilst still delivering the same flat response as the GT800FX, the GT1000FX has been modified to respond even more like a valve power amplifier, giving a "looser" feel and a more open sound that we genuinely believe to be the closest a solid state amp has come to valves!

GT1500FXBD 3 Channel Guitar Amplifer

Matrix Amplifications, Andy Hunt, is pleased to announce the GT1500FXBD, the first of two 3 channel amplifiers designed with the help of French amp-guru Bruno Durand.
The GT1500FXBD is a 3 channel amplifier delivering 500W per channel at 4 ohms with the same voicing as the flagship GT1000FX amplifiers, weighing only 3.8kg and all in a 19″ 1U format.*

So why 3 channels?
Multi-channel guitar power amplifiers have been requested for a number of years but in the past have been too heavy, bulky and expensive to build because of the added tubes and transformers needed. This drives up the weight, form factor and cost. Multi-channel solid state amplifiers are commonplace now, this technology coupled with Andy Hunt’s innovations in solid state technology means that with the advent of modern modelling pre-amps with their flexibility in routing options the GT1500 can give guitarists the ultimate in flexibility and sound in a lightweight yet powerful amplifier.

So what can it do for me?
The obvious use for a 3 channel amp is when you want to run 3 cabs in a wet/dry/wet setup. This is basically a signal split to 3 cabs with the middle cab dry (with no effects) and the other 2 cabs fed with stereo effects. This gives the clarity of the dry signal and the ability to dial in the effects to taste providing what most guitarists feel is a huge sound that isn’t mushy. Professional players have been using this type of setup for many years but it has always been out of reach of a lot of players due to the weight of extra amps and extra cabs not to mention the expense of extra gear.
Having 3 channels also gives you the ability to run a stereo rig as normal for yourself and an extra channel for monitoring, either for yourself or another member of the band. Or how about setting up a 2.1 type rig with a sub and 2 satellite speakers? Multi-instrumentalists or players wanting to take advantage of multi-preamp sources can be catered for. Even the guy in the band that just plays on the one song can use a channel without having to fetch along another car load of gear!
To sum it up the Matrix 1500FXBD will fit just about any playing situation you may need from your rig, like the ultimate power amplifier for guitarists. It will open new possibilities, uncovered by the classic stereo power amps. All in an amplifier with three 500w channels, weighing 3.8kg and a 1U form factor…. powering your rig has never been so easy.
The Matrix GT1500FXBD is available now at $1150* within the USA. For other countries please check online or contact Matrix for a quote.

Featuring 800 watts per channel at 4 ohms and giving out 1600 watts in bridged mode at 8 ohms and 1000 watts at 16 ohms in bridged, this amp will handle the heavyweight power demands of pretty much anything thrown at it whilst still weighing in at an impressive 5kgs. Standard Neutrik combi 1/4 inch/XLR inputs and combi Speakon/1/4 inch outputs give maximum flexibility in connecting the GT1600FX to the pre-amp or modeller of your choice and a dedicated bridged mode output means no special cables. The dual speed 80mm fans also give maximum airflow whilst staying quiet enough for studio use and cool enough in the most demanding of live situations The GT1600FX like all our amps, still has the ability to handle all impedances 4 ohms and over including mis-matched loads giving you the widest choice when using your favourite cabs and speakers. CFR12 12" Passive FRFR

The Matrix CFR12 is a wedge style speaker designed specifically to meet the needs of guitarists using modelling amplifiers. With a full range, flat response, the CFR12 provides clarity and punch in a lightweight package. Whether used as an on-stage monitor or as a backline in smaller gigs or as a practice rig, the CFR12 delivers your sound, without compromise.

Designed to offer a light-weight and affordable solution to the needs of guitar players using modellers such as the Fractal Audio Axe FX, the CFR 12 is compact, transparent and punches well above its size and weight. The CFR12 is a perfect match for our GT800FX, GT1000FX and GM50 amplifers.

Specification:

Weight: 12.9kg
Impedance: 8 Ohms
Power Handling: 260W RMS

Q12A Active Monitor

Designed by Andy Hunt as a full range, full response audio monitor, the compact 12” coaxial solution, at only 15.9kgs (35lb) offers a transparent sound punching well above its size and weight.

The Q12a was created as a high quality solution to answer the requests we have received from artists wishing for all the benefits of our CFR12 passive wedges in an active solution that was in the style of 1×12 guitar cab.

Traditional guitar cabinets impart their own character on top of the tone the modellers were creating. We wanted to create a transparent solution to enable the modeller to shine through

The Q12a is loaded with a 12" coaxial driver which has a dispersion pattern of 80 degrees, which ensures the same sweet spot of sound is heard by the guitarist as they move around the stage. Power for the Q12a is provided by Matrix’s highly respected GM50 mono-bloc module, already proven and used by professional cab builders and DIY buffs alike. Delivering plenty of high quality class A/B power with the same voicing as our flagship GT1000 amp ensures an uncoloured valve like feel with enough power to handle the loudest of on stage situations.

When the GM50 module is switched off (and for safety we recommend unplugging the power cable as well) you are able to run the cab in passive mode from an external amp. The speaker link works as normal allowing the daisy chaining of cabs together. Back in active mode the speaker input must be disconnected and the speaker link allows power from the GM50 to drive the daisy chained cab to a minimum 4 ohms load. For the Q12a active, input to the GM50 module is via a combi XLR 1/4 inch input. Please refer to the manual for more details and diagrams on connection options.

Weight: 15.9kg (35lbs)
Impedance: 8 Ohms
Power Handling: 260W RMS
Dimensions (mm): 375H x 455W x 285D
Dimensions (in): 14.75H x 17.9W x 11.2D

Wait and see.
