"Fender has just officially announced the discontinuation of the US Ovation production and the closure of the New Hartford factory. It is a very sad day for all lovers of these exceptional guitars and this is the end of a rich and unique Story in guitar's world. I will try to exceed my anger and simply thank from the deepest part of my heart all the people whom participated in this great adventure from the beginning in 1966 and who have given us so much happiness in producing all these models with so much passion; you can be proud!! Charlie and Bill Kaman have changed the music world and Our O's and A's will forever be among the best guitars ever made and nothing could change this. Tonight, I'm thinking of all the Crafstmen from New Hartford and especially to John Budny and Kim Keller, the guys of the best Customers Service ever known because Ovation was not only a great Brand but also a unique human experience. In this world where money and performance is the only law for people with big cigars in mouth and seating in leather seats playing with lifes, don't forget that talent, beauty, innovation and human beings are so much more important than some dollars more or you will miss what's essential in life. I'm surely utopist but I'll will not changed now so, long life to Ovation guitars and good luck to the New Hartford's Artists!! "
