Note to bands and labels: we strongly advise against working with Black Cloud Picture booking agency (https://www.facebook.com/blackcloudpicture).

We, the members of Swiss bands Path Of Desolation and AM : PM and Aesthetic Plague Agency, express concern and wish to warn other artist and label: Black Cloud Picture is not to be trusted. This agency has done a messy and unprofessional work booking our bands. We strongly advise against working with its owner, Lukas Palatinus.
The facts
We contacted Mr Palatinus’ booking agency Black Cloud Picture in the fall of 2014. Several musicians we consider as friends and many bands across Europe have worked with this agency. We were pretty confident Balck Cloud Picture would book a tour for us and Mr Palatinus seemed also confident he would manage to.
We asked for a UK tour in April, comprising of five to six dates. We received a contract which seemed legit and signed it. We shipped the first fee requested (700 euro), the balance due just before the start of the tour. Until the payment, Mr Palatinus contacted us quickly and frequently.
Weeks and months passed and Black Cloud Picture failed to confirm dates, arguing that there were some trouble with his “guy” in the UK. We asked for another solution and Mr Palatinus confirmed us five dates in five towns in Czech Republic and Slovakia in a matter of days. From then on, we asked relentlessly for the names of the venues confirmed. It took Mr Palatinus several weeks to abide.
We contacted the venues as soon as we got their names. Two of us replied within the day, stating that they would not be hosting our show. We aksed Mr Palatinus to clarify the situation but he consistently came up with excuses and empty promises.
In the process, we also contacted bands who had worked with him in the past. They confirmed that Mr Palatinus ‘isn't very organised, does everything last-minute and isn't really ready to carry the consequences’. Most bands contacted confirmed that they didn’t get paid for some of the shows.
In the end, we made the decision to cancel the tour and claim are money back, although this caused prejudice having rented a bus and gear for the tour ahead. Finally we got our money back after months and ton of mails. We are not used to talk people down and are sincerely sorry to have to come to this. But we think the word should be heard to avoid bad surprises in the future.
