Design Your Own Guitar
Tony Iommi, Joe Perry and Tom Morello judge your designs. Fender builds the winning entry.
Every guitarist dreams of designing his own guitar. But unless you're blessed with fame, talent or money, there isn't an axmaker on earth that will consider your whacked-out ideas of cuttingedge luthiery.
Well, take heart: Guitar World and Fender Musical Instrument Corporation are offering you, dear reader, the chance to design your own guitar and have it judged by three hard rock icons-Tony Iommi, Joe Perry and Tom Morello. From the entries, one winning design will be built to spec by the Fender Custom Shop.
Best of all, you don't even have to be able to draw. Scrawl your design on a cocktail napkin or map it out on graph paper via CAD engineering-but send it to us by
August 1, 2004!
We'll present some of the entries in our forthcoming issues and announce the winner in the October 2004 issue. The winning entry will be shown in our January 2005 issue.
Send your entry to:
Guitar Design Contest, c/o Guitar World,
