Je vends mon GA5 Rat Mod modified. Toutes les modifs ont été faites par un anglais, Andy Doken, qui modifie des têtes Epiphones VJ et autres combos en les revendant sur eBay et bien sûr en faisant un travail super sérieux.
Voici la liste en anglais des changement effectués par rapport au modèle de base :
1. - 'Power Scaling' - This is the Business - Nothing else can touch it.
2. - Celestion 'Super 8' Speaker - A Logical Upgrade for such a Great
Sounding Combo Amp.
3. - New Epiphone V3 Output Transformer.
4. - New Front and Rear Panel Layout.
5. - Three Position 'Bias' Switch.
6. - Three Position 'Gain' Switch.
7. - Input Impedance Corrected - The Standard Factory Input Network
causes over Half of the applied Signal to be 'LOST to EARTH' as soon as it
Enters the Amp. Not any more.
8. - 'Drive' Control - Sets the Gain on the Preamp Valve.
9. - 'Tone' Control - For Fine Tuning your Sound.
10. - 'Master' Control - Sets the Gain on the Power Amp Valve.
11. - Combination - 'Triode', 'Pentode', 'Standby' Switch.
12. - 'Line Out' Socket - Using Speaker Emulation.
13. - 'Headphone' Socket - The Internal Speaker is Muted when the
Headphones are Connected.
14. - Speaker 'Impedance' Switch - 4, 8 and 16 Ohms.
15. - 2 x Speaker Outputs.
16. - Electro Harmonix 12AX7 Preamp Valve.
17. - Both Valves Re-Biased and Calibrated to work within their
Prescribed Design Parameters - More than 50% of the Components on
the PCB have to be changed in order to Accomplish this.
18. - Enclosed Fuse and Holder Mounted on the PCB - A 'MUST' for Safety
Reasons - Without a Fuse even the Slightest Fault could 'Kill' the Mains
Transformer.
19. - More/Larger Smoothing Capacitors on the HT and Heater Rails -
Eliminates 'Hum' and 'Enhances' Bass Response.
20. - There are Several 'Other' Modifications that I do to All of my Amps
that are Exclusive to me and both Enhance Performance and Help to Keep
the Noise Levels Way Down. The Background 'Hiss' from this Amp is so
Low, you may not notice it is Switched on.
Le power scaling et la possibilité d'utiliser le mode triode est terrible. Ca passe l'ampli de 6w à 1,8w et c'est vraiment pas négligeable en appart. Au pire y'a une prise casque ! L'ampli est comme neuf, fourni avec sa notice.
