Guitare 8 cordes de frederik thordental (meshuggah)

(We used a Marshall Bi-Chorus 200 on Chaosphere when we recorded the drums me and Tomas just so we could jam together but then when we recorded the "real guitars" we used the Rectifier and miced my Marshall Lead 800 1960A cabinet with a Neumann TLM193. A REALLY good mic...)

Nothing - Line6 POD Pro


Solo Sound:

On CC I used a homemade head called Les Amp through a home made cabinet with a 12" Celestion miced with a Shure SM57 direct into a TC Electronic Chorus + Flanger...

On all the other records (except from Nothing) I used a Mesa/Boogie 50 Caliber+ (with a TC Electronic Parametric Equalizer/Preamp in the loop) through a Rocktron Juice Extractor into the poweramp of a Marshall Bi-Chorus 200 into a Marshall Lead 800 1960A cabinet. phu... I used all kinds of mics... on the earlier stuff - Shure SM57, on DEI Neumann KM84 and on Chaosphere Neumann TLM193...

Then in the controlroom I alwas add my ADA Stereo Tapped Delay and any kind of Delay..

- "Nothing" et "I", ça fait 2 albums (enfin, 1 album et 1 EP).
- Avant de passer à 8 cordes, leur 7-cordes étaient accordées 1/2 ton plus bas et pas "le plus bas possible".
- Pour le prochain album (qui risque d'être 1 EP de plus), on verra bien, inutile de balancer une rumeur de plus...

They are finally here, the 8-string Nevborn guitars we've desperately been waiting so long for... All I can say is that they sound and look mean...what more do you need in life? We'll try to put up some pics of them tomorrow (sunday).

Non, non... Je survolais la discution et j'ai vu une réponse de Korma (dans sa signature, il y a un lien vers son site)... Je n'ai pas résisté à partager mon contentement quant au fait d'avoir ce petit quelque chose en commun avec lui. C'est tout !

Swedish Metal: It hasn´t?

Fredrik Thordendahl: No! *laugh* And that is so fun since it has been so much excitement and rumors about those guitars that we were supposed to use on the new record and then they have never existed! *laugh* But we do have a prototype of it that I´ve tried. I´ve actually recorded some other music with that one, together with Jocke in Clawfinger. But on "Nothing", we play with our ordinary 7-stringed guitars that we´ve re-strung.

Swedish Metal: But the guitars are re-strung as if it were an 8-stringed guitar, I hope?

Fredrik Thordendahl: Yeah. You just remove the thinnest e-string and then move all the other strings down a step. Then you get an even thicker string that you attach on the top of the guitar.

Swedish Metal: Okey. But this was very surprising since there has been so much attention around them. They´re mentioned in my promotional papers and everywhere else!

Fredrik Thordendahl: *laugh* Yeah, it´s so hilarious since they´ve never existed. But it was of course meant that we should´ve received those guitars a long time ago, but there has been so much trouble with the construction. The companies that were going to provide Fredrik with parts haven´t held their promises with the deliveries and so on. It took almost six months until he got all the parts that he needed. So now that he has those parts the guitars should be ready any time! If I remember correctly, he said that we were going to get them this upcoming week, so it is very exciting!

ouai je trouve que appartir de 8 cordes ca devient un peu n'importe koi mais bon ca fait rivaliser d'ingeniosité les luthier
