Bonsoir bonsoir,
Citation:
This Bass Chorus is one of the 5 brown bass pedals that Boss made during the late eighties. The chorus effect is only applied to the harmonics and not to the original note. This makes the bottom remain clear while it adds more breadth to the signal. Boss Pocket Dictionary vol.6 (1989): "The CE-2B Bass Chorus creates a "chorus" effect by slightly shifting the pitch of the direct sound using a delay element. By mixing the direct and pitch-shifted sound so that they interact with each other, effects like sounds produced from two different sources can be utilized, and a wider and richer bass sound is the result. Since the chorus effect affects just the harmonics of bass sound without affecting the fundamentals, the original sound will not get muddy. While maintaining the bass' characteristic powerful sound and extension, an effective chorus effect can enhance the sound. Built-in controls that help delicate sound creation include Rate for adjusting the chorus speed, Depth for controlling chorus depth, and Effect Level for adjusting the proportion of direct sound to the effect sound."
Merci!
