DVD Description
The P-Funk of the ska world, Fishbone made a name for themselves during the late 80s with their eclectic blend of soul, funk, reggae, punk and ska, as well as their charismatic, energetic stage presence that has garnered them an extremely loyal fan base they dub the "Familyhood." This documentary takes an in-depth look at the 2001 recording session the band held in the free, community-owned studio called the Hen House; this session marked a sometimes painful, but always creative and progressive, regeneration of sound and style. Crackling with electricity, lead vocalist/saxophonist leads the band in performing tracks including "Frayed F*cking Nerve Ending," "Skank 'N Go Nutts," "Last Dayz," and "Critical Times" with a joyful, passionate, dynamic delivery that has characterized their work throughout the phases of their career.
