Quelques nouvelles d'Andy Timmons
ANDY TIMMONS SOLO RESOLUTION:
Press Release / Andy Timmons, former member of million selling eighties pop-metal act, Danger Danger, releases the follow up to 2002's release That Was Then, This Is Now on 5/2/06 through Favored Nations Records. Timmons alongside bassist Mike Daane, with drummer Mitch Marine round out the band lineup. Recorded in Dallas, Resolution was co-produced by both Timmons and bassist Mike Daane, "This is the first real official Andy Timmons Band release," asserts Timmons.
Resolution launches without delay, the opening track Deliver Us, is an instant assault of energy and rhythm, while the diversity and contrast in Timmons' ability as both guitarist and songwriter is no more evident than on Gone, a jazz influenced track that lowers the volume and calms the mood perfectly. What truly shines through on each track is the confident sound of a talented artist given the freedom to explore with no restrictions.
Raised in Indiana, Timmons took up the guitar at the age of five and formed his first band, Taylor Bay, aged 13. Timmons is a master of a variety of musical styles, studying classical and jazz guitar and earning his stripes as a seasoned studio session vet. Touring and recording with such diverse artists as drumming legend Simon Phillips, Olivia Newton-John and Leeann Rimes, Andy has also appeared with such guitar greats as Kiss' Ace Frehley, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, and Joe Satriani. All this has helped him further develop his instrumental prowess and establish his own distinctive musical personality in the guitar world.
Listen, smile, agree, and then do whatever the fuck you were gonna do anyway.
