Le dos du manche est moucheté comme sur les relic ou pas ?

Bah meme pas ... l' interprétation que fait le vendeur du numéro de série est FAUSSE !

# 91233 : signifie simplement que cette "Davies " date de 1991 ( étonnant ça , non ? ) et qu'elle a été fabriquée en Décembre de l' année en question ... étant la 33ème N4 d' un lot X ce mois là ;-)

pour vous la N4 c'est une gratte plutot strat ou plutot LP

à ton avis, sérieux ?........... je sais , regarde meme de façon distante la forme du corps de la N4
Par contre, coté config micros ( 2 doubles ) et le routing , là oui, c'est esprit LP .

C’est justement ça qui est magique !
La forme stratoide, le claquant d’une strat (enfin presque), l’acces aux aigus (meilleur qu’une strat et incomparable avec celui d’une LP), combiné avec cette puissance et cette rondeur (enfin.. un peu.. surtout pour la padouk), ces 2 doubles, comme sur une LP…
C’est, pour moi, le meilleur des deux mondes :-)

J'ai un probleme

The sticker/paint where it says 'Stevens Extended Cutaway' on my padauk is coming off. I have list the Y and the A from 'Cutaway'... and the W has moved...

Also i can see where it says 'Nuno Bettencourt Signature Model' on the headstock is gonna come off if i touch it.

I emailed eric @ boogie street and asked for replacement stickers - he told me:



Obviously i can't see ANY solution, i do not want to send it all the way to america and back!!!

This is ridiculous! Supposed to be a fucking custom shop top of the range guitar! This would NEVER happen on my les paul, and wouldn't happen on my brothers 1962 strat. I've played guitars from the 50's where the bloody stickers haven't come off!!!!

Any ideas?

The white writing on the 1993 Padauks - are these stickers or paint? I haven't ever heard of this happening before with the old models....

I will email boogie street again now... sorry for a long post in english... but i don't know where else to post... there aren't many (any?) english forums that talk this much about N4's...

Mmm. Maybe they can send me a new neck (as all the white paint is on the neck)?

But i was gonna get a fret dress next week with a plek machine (costing £120) so i don't really wanna do that then get a new neck... i'll see what eric @ boogiestreet says...

My two N4 Padauk ( 1993&94 ) have not AT ALL of the " fading " you are speaking about ...
The white writing seems to be painted but this is difficult to say !
I hope you'll get a solution quickly from BoogieStreets but ... is this really a real problem ??

Heh, do you mean is it a) widespread problem, or, is it b) a 'real problem' that's bothering/worrying about?

Well if you mean a) - i think they must have changed the paint recently? Other than the washburn logo, the paint is 'thick' and it sticks out a bit so it's lumpy, not sure if it's always been like this or what. If you mean b) - well, no, it's not a total disaster, but when you buy a top of the range, flagship custom shop model from washburn, is that really what you expect to happen?! This wouldn't happen on any prs custom shop, or gibson custom shop, etc. And it seems to be getting worse, so eventually all the lettering is gonna be gone - as well as the 'Nuno Betten....' bit on the headstock...

As i already pointed it out, I really think the overall quality of the nowadays N4s is just NOT the same at the ones from 91 to 94
