hubucker chevalet + mid boost + doigts
L'ampli n'a pas grand chose à voir dans ce son...
oui c'est sur !!!
si on a " hubucker chevalet + mid boost + doigts"
Citation:
Yup, I've seen Allan play live numerous times with different rigs and he always sounds the same. And, for him, it's about getting consistency out of his rig than anything else. He doesn't want surprises during a soundcheck before a gig.
I've followed him since he was using the Thompson tube amps in the late-70's and early-80's, then the Pearce solid-state amps in the mid-80's, then Mesa/Boogie stuff in the late-80's and early-90's, then the Yamaha DG modelers for a long time, and now the H&K stuff. The last several times I've seen him, he was playing the headless DeLap.
When he played at Tone Merchants a few times when I was running that place, I tried to decipher his rig's signal path and after a few minutes looking at his rig, I just said, "Forget it... What a weird rig and no one will sound like him anyway playing through it."
He's another prime example of someone who'll sound just like himself no matter what he plays through.
