bon alors je suis passé de la V1.0.1 à la 1.0.4 puis 2.0.0, puis 1.0.4 puis 2.0.0 puis 1.0.4 etc en V2 je trouve le clean vraiment plus clean et le Modern est plus tenu ça bave moins ....un truc sympa aussi c'est la libraire de Preset. J'ai chargé les 5 amplis dans les 5 mémoires avec ce qu'il y a dans la libraire (5 premiers "backing") en ajustant un peu à mon gout, et du coup je me prends plus la tête à toucher les potars j'ai passé le crunch sur le 4x12 aussi.

Je suis nouveau et de l'Italie... c'est pourquoi je prefer l'Anglais...
I want to add an external cabinet to my THR 10C. On the web there are very little informations about that. Is there anybody here who did it ? any suggestion or warning ? any drawing or schema ablout the electric part ?

Answer: why?

I don't think it's possible to plug a cabinet with real guitar speaker on the THR10. BUT maybe a good option would be to plug some active monotoring speakers on the headphone output. I've tried myself because 1 I don't have the THR10 yet and 2 I don't have any active speakers but I read somewhere somebody who had done that and it seemed to work very well.

First of all "pourquoi" ?
Par ce que chaque fois je pousse le volume, le son des haute parleurs devient terrible. Maintenant je retour a' mon anglais ! I mean Thr is very good at minimal volume level, but when You turn the knob around 12 all the amp starts rattling and buzzing. This is very annoing because the signal quality in the headphones for example is fantastic and the amp gets some power. So that My conclusion is that the speakers and the cabinet is the problem (wrong project!). I already tried with external active monitors through the headphones plug: it works but there are two issues: first of all too much cables and secondary the dynamic is lower quality (probably because the output is ideal for driving headphones and not for transfer signal to an active amp imput...)
So That's Why My idea: i can easily build a high quality cabinet with full range speakers (2x8" for example, the same You can find in good acustic guitar amps...), driving that cabinet with the fantastic capabilities of the THR electronics.... I don't think I'm the only one in the world complaining about the rattling of THR poor cabinet !

If you need more power, it is time to buy a real tube amplifier, maybe 15w, maybe more.
The THR is good for low volume usage, at night or in a flat, recording via usb, because at low volume a real tube amplifier will not perform at its best and THR will.

That's the point. And the first and almost only real value added by the THR imho.

Then, maybe it is not necessary for you to get such a powerfull tubey as a 15W. Of course, you may own a THR + 15W, but maybe you can replace your THR by a low wattter.

A simple 5w can make almost as much noise as a 15w in distortion mode, and the only real difference in headroom will be in clear sound. And several 5W models have very low W modes such as 1W and up to 0.1W =>

Check the Vox AC4, Bugera V5 or Blackstar HT5

But some other can make it : Blackstar HT1, Mooer (2 models) etc

All either exist in head format, or combo with an additionnal cab plug.

Pas tout à fait le seul point, l'interface audionumérique, et le fait de faire enceinte USB en même temps (ou flat par l'entrée AUX) c'est tout de même pratique.

Je ne suis pas d'accord avec Gzii et Oghkhood. The point is that THR has plenty of headroom with his 10 watts, much more than some other "petits gateaux" like Orange, Blackstar, VOX, Blackheart etc etc. The problem actually isn't the electrical headroom but the limits of the acoustic/audio physical construction (3 inch speakers sourrounded by thin metal chassis...).
THR has huge flexibility in one box (strereophonie, interface numerique, memoires, different tones, headphones output, mp3 imput, fantastic reverb, nice tremolo and chorus ...) he only lacks a simple (no more than 2 euros !) output for external haute parleurs... Can you imagine the clean sound of your THR 10C coming out from a couple of speakers full range Beyma like the ones used by Fishmann or AER acoustic amps ? Yes I can, that's why I'll try to do this tweaking and then let you know...
But so far nobody answer to my question: am I the only one with rattle and buzzing problems at mid volume ? I live in a small appartment and I play mainly clean and acoustic... not AC-DC...

I have no problem at home, or at mid volume (tested sunday when I played with others guitarists, but with a low output guitar).
If you add bigger speakers, the sound will possibly decrease a bit.
You will need an hifi amp too I think (maybe a frfr cab with amp where you can plug the phone output ?)

Merci a' tous pour les conseils. Je regrette pour mon Francais que c'est pas du tout parfait, c'est pourqui je prefer l'angalis quand on doit expliquer quelque chose difficile.... Si j'aurai du temp dans le weekend je fais un petit essai de mon idée et apres je vous inform de mes opinion. J'ai deja essaié à connecter des HP actives avec la sortie headphones. Le resultat c'est deja TRES interessant mais la dynamique n'est pas la meme... le son c'est comprimé; je pense que le probleme c'est que la sortie pour le casque n'est pas exactement parfait pour donner un signal de imput à un etage final d'amplification (l'impedance c'est adaptée pur piloter en courant et pas en signal...). Ah ah vous rigolez pour mon Francais !

Ciao chicco! I have the same rattle issue, you cannot push the output volume that much...

I hope they will make a new model, between the Line6 Amplifi (too harsh I think) and the THR.
(Line6 is property of Yamaha now).

Je suis hereux de n'etre pas le seul avec le problemes de bruit du cabinet.
Ca c'est vraiment le point: avec un petit effort en plus sur la partie "acoustique" du design de THR (des HP de 6", le cabinet plus fort...) je pense qu'on aurait un ampli unique et parfait, au dehor de la concurrance ! Ca pourrait etre vraiment le seul ampli pour le guitariste domestique "du samedi et dimanche", pas le trosieme pour la nuit. L'alliance avec Line6 a une potentialié encroibale avec l'expertise de Yamaha.
