Designed in cooperation with an esteemed group of Authorized Gibson Custom retailers, these 1960 Historic Reissue Les Pauls feature a V2 neck profile, exclusive Ebucker pickups, materials that are hand selected for weight, tone and beauty and in a range of colors not typically available in these models in 2013.
V2-Neck profile: captures the middle of Gibson's 1959-1960 transition to the eventual "slim-profile" neck that became the standard late in 1960. With a slightly flatter, slimmer profile than a 1959 Les Paul, but not quite as slim as the 1960, many consider this to be the ultimate combination of comfort, tone, and playability.
EBuckers: Working with a small group of players and experts within the ranks of some of our finest dealers, Gibson Custom Shop developed a pickup set that reproduces authentic Vintage
tone reminiscent of some of our favorites. When the first Ebucker was unveiled, all agreed it was a pickup true to great Vintage Rock and Roll tone. “Sweet”, “Fat”, “Responsive” all help to describe a truly great pickup. Ebuckers are only available in select, limited run product for 2013.
Hand selected materials: With a focus on light weight, fat tone and eye catching beauty, each guitar in this exclusive range features materials that have been hand selected for this exclusive group of Gibson dealers, some of the Word's most noted experts on Gibson Custom and Historic guitars.
