the $1899 price point is not going to jump to $2499. it will still be underneath
the $2499 is for the top line model. It is a MAJOR upgrade from the existing ash body model
I need to be careful how I word what I say, because I don't want it to appear that I speak for washburn
however, they have ink'd a long term deal with Nuno that costs more money than they have ever paid an artist, and they are having to absorb some of that cost
they only build about 500 N4's per year, which although seems like a good number of guitars, it is a relatively small number
because of that number and 4 CNC routers, 30 employees and 2 paint booth systems, they are forced to adjust pricing.
Part of Nuno's new contract refers to quality control. He has control of the guitar and if he isn't happy with something, it must be changed.
SO to be clear, the new top model will be the new model based on the spec's of Nuno's original #1 guitar
