J'ai contacté Kyle pour connaître plus précisément les différences entre la Purple et la Metallic Blue. Voici sa réponse :

The Purple Stardust™ is the ultimate Hendrix-y Hi-Octave 1960s effect with a haunting hi-octave effect that cuts through a band mix. I attached a recording for you.
The Metallic Blue Hi-Octave was a secondary run for those who missed the limited edition Purple Stardust™. We already had circuit boards and components and only needed to custom power coat the enclosures for a limited release. (Upon discontinuing the Purple Stardust™, we had an influx of Hi-Octave requests.) The MB uses a smaller transformer, different germanium diodes, different biasing, different potentiometer values, and different electrolytic capacitor values. The resulting effect is more 1970s Hi-Octave that's clear, transparent and is slightly more wild when the Intensity (Fuzz) knob is maxed. I attached a Hendrix recording the Metallic Blue was fine-tuned after. (Lullaby)
Transistors are the same for both but the gain varies. The Metallic Blue has slightly lower gain transistors which were hand picked to match the different biasing.
Du coup, j'ai écouté Lullaby for Summertime de Hendrix, que je en connaissais pas. Chouette morceau !
Je reste à l'affût d'une Purple donc...
