For his guitar parts Joe used the Jackson US Soloist while fellow axeman Christian Andreau used a Jackson Randy Rhoads model. They fed these through various Peavey amps including the new 6505 and the new EVH 5150 III head.

His stage set included about four Hi-Watt amps and an Orange or two and about eight thousands monitors. He took about a third of the stage himself and must have played about nine different guitars (ndlr: Jazzmaster!). Belinda was playing this awesome cherry red sparkling custom-made guitar which was made by a French guy that Douglas Hart introduced me to before the show briefly. Wish I could remember his name because the guitars looked beautiful

The projections were 90 per cent made by Douglas, who’s been working closely with the group on these comeback shows. They looked like they could have been sourced from footage of armies marching in World War II mixed with a creepy psychedelic Nosferatu vibe.

My Bloody Valentine

Premier concert depuis 16 ans à Londres (ICA) le 13 Juin dernier. Des mecs distribuaient les earplugs à l'entrée de la petite salle, le groupe est rentré dans le public sur 'Only Shallow'. Zénith de Paris le mois prochain..



Pedalboard de Mr Shields (Belinda n'en avait pas): la qualité est super moyenne mais on peut distinguer une Boss TU-2, une volume Ernie Ball, une Pete Cornish, une Roger Mayer Octavia, une Snarling Dog Mold Spore Wah.. puis ça devient confus, Whammy, la multicolore en bas à droite est une Effector 13 Truly Beautiful Disaster

Amplis: Marshall, Divided by 13, Vox et Hiwatt amps pour Shields. Avec un SWR California Blonde au sol. Deb (basse) a un Ampeg VST-VR accompagné d'un stack Marshall (8X10s..)

Kevin never used a Shreadmaster pedal (he did, however, use 2 Marshall Guv'nor pedals during the Isn't Anyting live shows). (guitargeek.com falsely credits the use of a Shredmaster during the Loveless tours.)

For Loveless live shows he used - Digitec Whammy, Boss EH-2, Boss PQ-4, 2 x Boss GE-7, Boss T-Wah, Pro-Co Turbo Rat, Roger Mayer Axis & Mongoose, Marshall Guv'nor, Jim Dunlop Roto-Vibe, Boss Tremolo/Pan (Boss PN-2 to be specific), Digitec PDS-8000, ADA Pre-amp, MidiVerb2 (made by Alesis for those who don't know), SPX90 x 2 and 3 x JCM800's (only 2 amps were actually running) JCM's valved with EL34's and ECC83's (including phase split). - I may have missed out one or two pedals there....it has been a few years..!!!

T-wah - Used for the entire length of 'I Only Said'...heh?
Midiverb 2 - For the record, 70% of the reverse reverb used in the live set was generated from the Alesis and not the SPX90. If you have chance to use both units (in a Pepsi challenge kinda way you will understand, if however, you don't know how to use gear properly you will never 'get it').
Midiverb2 - Listen to 'Slow' both live and studio versions. Guitar>Midi2>ADA>Amp...........as simple as that.

Leur matos a quelque peu évolué pour la tournée '23', à en juger par ces photos (concerts Bataclan/NYC).. à enregistrer sous pour voir 'en grand'

Sur la photo de gauche: Eventide Modfactor au pied de micro, Digitech Whammy, EHX Stereo Memory Man With Hazaraï, Eventide Timefactor, EHX Holy Grail+, MXR M-142 Distortion II, Line 6 DL-4, Peterson StroboStomp Tuner, entre ces deux dernières une grosse pédale noire aux inscriptions rouges que je ne capte pas -voir photo de droite- on remarque donc beaucoup de delais/sampling, prédominants dans les derniers travaux du groupe

Pour les grattes, ça oscille entre Gibson SG, Gibson les Paul DC, Fender (?) Barytone qui tourne
Côté amplis, on a du Fender Twin, du VOX AC-30 et du combo Hiwatt
