EFFECT PARAMETERS
The SPC-09 includes 7 new effects with a total of 19 effect variations.
COMP/LIMITER [C/LM]
- This effect can be used as compressor or limiter because of the wide range of the ratio parameter.
PARAMETERS
A THR
Threshold Level 0~100 Determines the level where compression begins. The larger the value, the more compression.
B RATO
Ratio 0~100 Determines intensity of compression. At value 0, input/output ratio is 1:1, at value 100, ratio is 100:1.
C ATCK
Attack 0~30 Determines the strength of the attack. The attack is stronger at high values.
D REL
Release 0~30 Determines the release time. The larger the value, the longer the release time.
E LEVL
Out Level 0~100 Determines the output level.
HARD DISTORTION 2 [HD2, TOD2]
- These two distortion effects simulate the sound of amplifier type distortion. When used in conjunction with the new 3 band EQ, a wide range of distortion effects are easily created.
VARIATIONS
- HARD DIST 2 [HD2]: High gain distortion effect.
- TUBE OVERDRIVE [TOD2]: Warm tube overdrive effect.
PARAMETERS
A DRIVE
Drive 0~100 Amount of distortion applied to the input signal.
B LEVEL
Level 0~100 Output level of distortion sound.
SUPER DISTORTION [SDS 1, SDS 2, SOD 1, SOD 2]
- The SUPER DISTORTION consists of four variations of distortion effects. These new distortion and overdrive effects simulate the same harmonics found in natural guitar amp distortion and distortion pedals.
VARIATIONS
- SUPER DISTORTION 1 [SDS 1]: The most aggressive distortion sound.
- SUPER DISTORTION 2 [SDS 2]: Warmer distortion sound.
- SUPER OVERDRIVE 1 [SOD 1]: Strong overdrive sound.
- SUPER OVERDRIVE 2 [SOD 2]: Soft overdrive sound.
PARAMETERS
A DRIV
Drive 0~100 Amount of distortion applied to the input signal.
B LEVEL
Effect Level 0~100 Output level of distortion sound.
C MODE
Output Mode AMP 1,
AMP 2,
LINE Selectable EQ curves for specific amplifier or direct to console applications.
Amp variation 1: AMP 1
Amp variation 2: AMP 2
Direct to console: LINE
NEW 3 BAND EQ (3 band EQ)
- This new 3 band EQ was designed specifically for use with guitar and particularly guitar distortion effects.
PARAMETERS
A BASS
*Bass Gain -12~12 Determines the gain of the low frequency range.
B M-Fc
Mid Frequency 0.55K~8kHz Determines the cut off frequency of the mid frequency range.
C M-Q
Mid Q 2~5 Determines the range over which the amount of boost, or cut, effects. The larger the value, the smaller the effected range.
D MID
Mid Gain -12~12 Determines the gain of the middle frequency range.
E TRBL
*Treble Gain -12~12 Determines the gain of the high frequency range.
F TRIM
**Input Trim 0~100 Adjusts input level to prevent from overload distortion.
* Peaking EQ
** This parameter helps to adjust program level when using Distortion effect. Also, when using high EQ levels, the trim level should be reduced to eliminate digital clipping.
MULTI-TAP DELAY [MTD1~MTD6] (Multi-tap delay group)
- This delay effect has 2 selectable delay times. A third delay time can be set for the feedback loop and an ambience parameter allows spreading the delay times in the stereo field.
VARIATIONS
- MT DELAY 1 [MTD1]: Repeats right to left.
- MT DELAY 2 [MTD2]: Three fast repeats right and then left, repeats decay.
- MT DELAY 3 [MTD3]: A "hard reverb" setting moving from right to left.
- MT DELAY 4 [MTD4]: Slight movement from right to left then fast repeats at center.
- MT DELAY 5 [MTD5]: One repeat right to left and then repeats seem to multiply as they decay.
- MT DELAY 6 [MTD6]: Stereo ambient type delay setting with fast decay and high diffusion.
PARAMETERS
A
DT-L DELAY TIME L 0~800 msec Sets the delay time of the left channel. (10 msec steps)
B
DT-R DELAY TIME R 0~800 msec Sets the delay time of the right channel. (10 msec steps)
C
FB-T FEEDBACK TIME 0~800 msec Sets the delay time of the feedback loop.
D
FB-G FEEDBACK GAIN -99~99 Sets the amount of feedback.
E
AMB AMBIENCE 0~20 Sets the position of the two delay taps. The larger the value, the wider the delays are spread out in the stereo field.
F
E BAL EFFECT BALANCE 0~100 Sets the balance between the direct sound and the effect sound. A higher setting raises the effect signal.
LONG DELAY [LDLY1~LDLY3] (Long delay group)
- Double the A3 internal maximum delay time. (1600 msec max.)
VARIATIONS
- LONG DELAY 1 [LDLY1]: A doubling delay effect. (33.5 msec)
- LONG DELAY 2 [LDLY2]: A medium delay setting. (333.3 msec)
- LONG DELAY 3 [LDLY3]: A very long delay effect. (1600 msec)
PARAMETERS
A
TIME DELAY TIME 0~1600 msec Sets the delay time. (10 msec steps)
B
FINE TIME FINE 0.0~9.9 msec Sets the delay time. (0.1 msec steps)
C
FBAK FEEDBACK -99~99 msec Sets the amount of the feedback.
D
DAMP HIGH DAMP 0~99 Cuts the high frequencies in the feedback loop. The larger the value, the darker the sound.
E
EBAL EFFECT BALANCE 0~100 Sets the balance between the direct sound and effect sound. A higher setting raises the effect signal.
TREMOLO [TRM 1, TRM 2]
VARIATIONS
- TREMOLO 1 [TRM1]: TREMOLO with a sine wave (~) modulation.
- TREMOLO 2 [TRM2]: TREMOLO with a triangle wave (//) modulation.
PARAMETERS
A SPD
Speed 0.05~10.0 Hz Sets the modulation speed.
B DPTH
Depth 0~100 Sets the depth of the tremolo effect.
