Euh...tu tiens ta source d'ou? Parce que j'ai écouté deux chansons de British Whale (son projet solo apparement), c'est plutôt pop-rock décalé...pas gros hard.

I'm doing a duet with Beverlei Brown, a fabbo singer and a great friend. The song's called "They Don't Make 'em Like They Used To." It's a stomp-along number with loads of brass, sounds like The Communards meets Phil Collins with a big guitar solo in the middle. It's not what you'd call a rock song, but there'll be plenty of those on my solo record, so I'm not worried about that. and you mustn't either.

Panther FAQs

These songs are from my solo record, Panther.

All of my solo writings are published by Warner Chappell. I was dropped by Atlantic earlier this year, so I am currently unsigned.

You Can't Hurt Me Any More was a song I demoed at home and offered to the band. We gigged it once in Sheffield in 2001, with a wierd progressive bit in the middle which didn't work, so the song was dropped. This is a faithful re-record of the original demo.

All three of the songs on my music profile were written pre-Permission to Land. In fact, you'll hear the expression "Permission to Land" in the lyrics of "Whichever..." which was penned LONG before we decided on the title of the first The Darkness record. Whichever was written in the period when Sue and I first got together - early 2002. We were trying to keep our relationship a secret from the band, because we were afraid that they would react negatively to our being together. This song was written with a view to embarking on a solo career in the event of having to leave The Darkness - or being kicked out!

That's why I've got a "solo thing", and also why these songs didn't appear on The Darkness' albums.

Chas Bayfield wrote the lyrics on "I've Met Jesus", apart from the "No resemblance whatsoever" line. The original demo of this track has appeared in a sitcom's soundtrack in the States, but I can't remember what the show was called.

I wrote everything else, and played everything on these recordings. I also produced and engineered them, for my sins!

About half the songs on the record are from that era, and the other half are very recent, but it all seems to work.

C'est vrai que 'This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us' est sorti vers la fin 2005 si mes souvenirs sont bons, et 'America' & 'England' l'année passée.
Justin prépare sont retour apparement. Comme je l'ai dit plus haut, il se pose candidat pour représenter l'angleterre à l'Eurovision. Pendant ce temps il compose ces morceaux (projet solo) et prend part à 2 projets (plus ou moins farfelus ) : Magnet Watch & Top Gear - plus d'infos sur son Myspace (mis à jour très réguilièrement) (c'est lui qui répond).

Et pour l'eurovision, il a été pris???
