James MacDonough se casse de Megadeth....



MEGADETH have parted ways with bassist James MacDonough. In a posting on the band's official forum, James wrote, "I just wanted to say thank you all so much for making me feel so welcome and thank you for all the awesome memories along the road. I will not be playing with MEGADETH any longer. I'm sure Dave [Mustaine, MEGADETH mainman] will post about it soon. Thanks again my metal brothers and sisters."

It was only five days ago (Feb. 5) that MacDonough posted a message on the MEGADETH message board indicating that he was very much "looking forward" to playing at the Desert Rock 2006 festival in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on March 16, adding that he would "document the trip" for the fans.

Could MacDonough's departure signal the return of MEGADETH's original bassist David Ellefson? In a a February 4, 2006 online posting on the band's web site, Mustaine wrote, "I said it before, [and] I'll say it again: I once was resentful, but now I am over the feuds with METALLICA, Ellefson, whomever. I have actually met with Ellefson one-on-one for dinner last year around [Christmas] to just clear the air and let him know I have no hard feelings and wanted to remain friends with him. We have talked on the phone numerous times since."

MEGADETH's scheduled appearance at the Desert Rock 2006 festival in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on March 16 is not expected to be affected by MacDonough's departure.

Le retour de Ellefson est pas pour demain puisque ses problèmes avec Mustaine se sont règlés au tribunal. (il a même attaqué la femme de Dave en justice).
Je vois pas comment Mustaine qui a la rancune tenace peut revenir vers Ellefson alors qu'il a pas parlé a Metallica pendant 15ans et qu'il y'a 1 an il ne voulait plus le voir. L'age de la sagesse peut-être.

que des intérimaires... n'empêche que le retour de ellefson ça le ferait, mais bon vu qu'il a un autre groupe maintenant

MEGADETH have announced the addition of former BLACK LABEL SOCIETY/WHITE LION bassist James Lomenzo to the group's ranks. Lomenzo joins the band as the replacement for James MacDonough (ex-ICED EARTH), who was officially dismissed from the group on February 10, 2006.

"I want to thank Jimmy for everything and wish him the best in his future endeavors," MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine said in a statement. "He is knowledgable and a good enough bassist to run his own outfit, and I look forward to what he does musically."

Mustaine added, "It was recommeded I check out James Lomenzo by a friend, because I was uncertain which direction I wanted to take with the bassist prior to starting the next record, and everything just clicked."

Lomenzo will perform with MEGADETH at their next scheduled live appearance, which is set for March 16 at the Desert Rock 2006 festival in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Ah ouais lui il est bon ! Je préfère largement ça au retour d'Ellefson qui pour moi n'est plus dans le coup, métalliquement parlant (enfin j'me comprends ). Niveau technique et niveau dégaine y'a pas photo !
Il a joué aussi avec D Lee Roth.

Parcontre j'ai regardé rude awakening , je suis un peu deçu au niveau de la musique c'est excellent , mais ca bouge pas des masses , comme slayer en fait 2 murs de marshall et des mecs qui jouent sans trop bouger

Mais ce nouveau bassiste ca va le faire je pense, ellefson etait pas irremplacable. Comme dit Mustaine "done moi n'importe quel bassiste je le fait sonner comme Megadeth................"

Mais c'est vrai que bon Meagdeth c'est Dave Mustaine et puis voila.
Mais bon franchement les bons guitaristes au chomage y'en a...

D'ailleurs Al Pitrelli etait plutot bon je pense qu'il n'a pas eu le temps de faire ses preuves.

a mon avis tous les membres du groupe (a part mustaine evidemment) seront changés. au moin ca montre qu'il y a une volonté de faire revivre le groupe. je ne sais pas pourquoi, mais ca sent le nouvel album.

moi j'aimerais qu'il nous choppe un vrai gratteux... Parce franchement l'actuel il casse pas des briques... Ok il fait de solii rapide et ca se limite la!

Tout à fait d'accord j'ai adoré le DVD avec Pitrelli. C'est dommage qu'il fasse plus parti du groupe.
