j'adore eddie van halen et le groupe van halen,mais j'ai été voir un concert d'eux pour la tournée de balance en 1994 je crois et bah, la sono etait mal reglée c'etait criard à mort,en plus il y avait un groupe de braillard en premiere partie,bad moon rising,et comble de tout alors que la salle demandait jump ,hagar a repondu "pas ce soir on l'a joué hier"!!!!merde alors!!!!!j'ai quand meme hate de les revoir en concert

Ouaip, je confirme. C'etait pas leur meilleur concert! Ils se donnent moins pour les européens on dirait! J'y étais pour la tournée de F.U.C.K. (la tournée dont a été enregistré le live "right here right now") et là, c'etait une autre histoire! Un son énooorme! J'etais devant Eddie et je le lachais pas des yeux!!

et bad moon rising c'tait pourri ou c'est seulement le style qui ne te plaisait pas??"opium for the masses"etait un bon album,bon feeling douggy.......

ah mais sammy,qu'est ce qu il me saoule quand j ecoute du van halen mark 2......david lee roth est un chanteur incroyable,le seul vrai chanteur du groupe(bon peut etre un peu spécial,voire con d après ce qu a pu dire le reste du groupe a certains moments,mais des qu on entend sa voix avec la guitare d eddie c bon,c est parti!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :Band1: :Band1: :G2:

Et puis sur scene, tu regardes + Eddie que Sammy! J'etais juste en face de lui et de son mur de 5150 rangés les uns sur les autres!

Au fait, j'ai pas pigé pkoi il mettait 3 tetes 5150 sur 2 baffles seulement sur son mur de son?
Il les branche en série ou quoi?

VAN HALEN BEST OF VOLUME 2 MOST LIKELY NEXT RELEASE:

More Van Halen rumors this week. I've had a little fresh info from one of my sources, which mirrors two other bits of info that have been mentioned elsewhere in the past week.

A newspaper in Canada has revealed information gathered at a recent Rock & Hyde reunion show (producer/musician Bob Rock and partner Paul Hyde). According to British Columbia paper The Province, Bob Rock has been tapped as the producer of 3 new tracks for a Sammy Hagar fronted Van Halen.The 3 tracks would appear on a new Greatest Hits release.

That's where my info comes in...I have been told that Van Halen Best Of Volume 2 will be the most likely next VH release - made more likely in light of the Canadian report (viewable at www.rebeccabooth.com/VH_article.jpg Scan by Mike Booth - thanks Mike for the scan and link.).

Apparently the Best Of Volume 2 is being put together as a first step towards making sure the band can work together still, without any issues from the past interfering.

I am also told that this release would enable the band to do some live dates in 2004 without doing a full blown tour. If the reunion works, then a new studio album and full tour will follow.
And lastly, I hear that an announcement is imminent. Maybe straight after the new year - everything was apparently to be decided and put in place by the end of this year - fast approaching.

That's what I have folks....take it as a rumor for now, but official news can't be too far away.

EVIDENCE SUGGESTS VAN HALEN NEWS IMMINENT:
The Van Halen rumor machine is really rolling along now. A few very positive developments from the last few days.
The first development comes from Sammy Hagar's own website administrator. She has remained tight-lipped since I broke news of Hagar's move back to Van Halen on November 20. But this week she was again asked two questions - 1. Is Sam working with "Van Halen" again? and 2. Is the rumored "Best Of Vol 2" a reality?"
Her reply: "Number 1 and 2 you'll hear soon..."

Ok, then this...from Grant Fisher of the now closed VHND. He posted this e-mail he received: "A friend of mine named (removed) has been friends with Sammy Hagar for years.
Anyway, he told me tonight that it's official that Sammy is back with Van Halen and that Sammy is playing some show in Walnut Creek, CA and he is going to make the announcement."

And finally, A&R guru John Kalodner responded to a question e-mailed to him via his site:
Q: Looks like we may see the return of Van Halen with Sammy Hagar! Do you think they will sign with Sanctuary or try for Warner Bros. again?? Plus do you think we will see a Best Of vol.2 before we see any new material? And will we have to wait till fall 2004 for VH to return?
John's answer: "I'm not sure about any of this. I think Sammy may be back with Van Halen, but I'm not positive. I think there may be one or two new songs for a second volume of Best Of. I would love to sign them to Sanctuary, but they may want to stay with Warner Bros. I would love for them to tour again. Nothing is definite and we'll just have to wait and see what lies ahead for Van Halen."
All adds up to an interesting situation. Stay tuned!

oui je voulais reparler de votre point de vue sur le son 80's.
Je suis a la fois d'accord avec billout et d'accord avec d'autre. j'aime le vieux son et le son 80, ce qui se fait aujourd'hui j'accroche moins (mis a part quelques rare groupe au son sublime comme tool....)

Donc je qualifierait le son 80 comme extremement travaillé mais bon, c'est vrai un peu ringard. Mais si on arrive a depasser les connotations instrumentale, je pense que les annés 80 on connue une expansion musicale phenomenale, et que le son y ete enormement travaille pour donner a chaque tube une identite sonore (je pense que les gens qqui dise que xce sont les pire année de la musique se borne a une premiere image).

Entierement d'accord avec billout avec l'image rock'n roll fun et sympa qu'avais van halen et d'autre..... c'est bien dommage. pasque c'etait une sorte de noblesse. Ok on est pas les plus grand artiste, nous somme juste des musiciens qui ont envie de se reveiller avec la banane et la donner a tout nos fans. Maintenant c'est pose statue grec, esprit j'ai tout compris je crache sur ce qui s'est fait avant ou alors je venere mon vieux groupe inconue qui a vendu trois albums. Ecoutez les interview de korn, marylin manson, ils sont puant.

Puis je finirait par dire que ma reference en production et arrangement est un album datant "de la si triste histoire de la musique, les 80's" ouaisssss
