"2) The Kemper demos from some great players where a lot of fun to listen.
I played for some 30 Minutes with the box myself - via near field monitor speakers in a loud environment.
- The thing crashed two times while I checked it - and has to be rebooted (note: it's still a beta version of the software)
- Effects seam to be very basic compared to AxeFx - once used to the AxeFx grid with freely routable effects... is hard to beat
- There are no effects like pitch harmonizers or 'Shimmer', 'Organ' or synth sounds included (yet?)
- The basic effects are very useable
- The noise gate is great
- The amp profiles were very nice - I loved some mild distorted 'Fuchs Amp', the Plexi and some Fender amps. Cleans and Metal are great too.
- Only one amp and one cab can be used at a time
- Amp models and cab models from all profiled amps/cabs can be mixed
- Mic models are not available - the mic used during profiling is 'included' in the cab model
- Latency is very low - not noticeable
- A real wah-pedal and a distortion box worked great with the Kemper (before the amp or in the loop)
- The Amp is not this ugly as on the pictures, a rack- and floor-unit seams to come later too.
- They say it will be 1450Euro and available in June
