Historiquement parlant Yamano était le distributeur nippon pour Gibson. Il y avait une personne a plein temps aux USA à l'usine qui sélectionnait pour lui des Gibson pour la beauté de leur table et leurs qualités générales. D'où l'appellation Gibson xxx Yamano; qui apparaît sur le carton d'ailleurs.
